WSA Announces Anneli MacDonald As New Tour Director from Tour Media
Ocotber 4, 2012
- The Women’s Squash Association (WSA) is pleased to announce that the
position of Tour Director is to be filled by Anneli MacDonald.
On the 23rd October, Anneli will be filling the post left by Tim Garner
in June earlier this year. Anneli brings with her a wealth of
experience, gained from five years working for BADMINTON England.
Anneli’s experience from one of Sport England’s recent success stories
makes her an ideal candidate for the Tour Director position. Her
past involvement in top-level international badminton events, as well
as secondment to Paralympics GB at the London 2012 Paralympic Games
will prove pivotal to the continued expansion of the WSA World Tour
brand.
Speaking about her transition into the role, Anneli said: “I feel
privileged to be joining the Women’s Squash Association at what is an
exciting time for squash.
“I’m looking forward to being part of an incredibly dynamic and
athletic sport and working with such outstanding players and staff.”
Ingrid Lofdahl-Bentzer, WSA World Tour Chairman and CEO said:
“Anneli’s resumé speaks for itself. She has the kind of
experience we are looking for in our new Tour Director and I’m
delighted by her decision to join our team. We are all looking
forward to seeing Anneli’s skills contribute to the continued growth of
our Tour.”
