12pm Camille Serme (Fra) v Amy Gross (Usa)
Amy Gross upended US Women's Team member Olivia Fiechter in the local qualifier, but this will be a warm-up for the world #13 from Paris.

Serme 3-0

1pm Sarah Kippax (Eng) v Amanda Sobhy (Usa)

Sobhy is ranked 21st in the world, Kippax 22nd. Kippax was shocked in the first round of the Weymuller qualifying by Sam Cornett, while Amanda went a tight four with Alison Waters in the qualifying finals. Sarah did win two WSA events in the US in August, but Amanda gets through this one.

Sobhy 3-1

2pm Alison Waters (Eng) v Misaki Kobayashi (Jpn)

Waters, the hottest player on the tour, with too much all-around game for the 22-year-old from Kanagawa.

Waters 3-0

3pm Nour El Tayeb (Egy) v Elizabeth Eyre (Usa)

A warm-up for the 2011 World Junior champion against former US collegian Eyre.

El Tayeb 3-0

4pm Donna Urquhart (Aus) Maria Elena Ubina (Usa)

Maria, the current US junior champion, has made great strides, but the world #17 from Brisbane is at a different level.

Urquhart 3-0

5pm Dipika Pallikal (Ind) v Samantha Cornett (Can)

Pallikal is ranked 14th, Cornett is 37th, but Sam could be dangerous in this match. She pushed Urquhart to a close five in the Weymuller after upsetting Sarah Kippax, and is performing at a career-high level. Pallikal may be able to dictate though.

Pallikal 3-1

6pm Latasha Khan (Usa) v Kanzy El Dafrawy (Egy)

The ageless Latasha beat the teenage Egyptian in the Weymuller, and should still have the edge. This one could be close.

Khan 3-2

7pm Joelle King (Nzl) v Sabrina Sobhy (Usa)

Sabrina is still only 15-years-old and is huge talent. But at this point King, who lost 13-11 in the 5th to world #2 Raneem El Weleily in the Weymuller, is in a different league.

King 3-0
