- Dutchman Laurens Jan Anjema, the World No.16, has withdrawn from the
upcoming Delaware Investments US Open due to an ongoing ankle and foot
injury, which also saw him retire during his quarter-final encounter
with Colombian Miguel Angel Rodriguez during the recent NetSuite Open.
It means the man from
Den Haag will miss his second consecutive PSA World Series competition,
having been forced to pull out of August's Hong Kong Squash Open at the
last minute - again due to injury.
Anjema's withdrawal
means Indian Saurav Ghosal, part of the Gold medal winning team at the
recent Asian Games, moves up in the draw to occupy the number eight
seed and he will face Egyptian Fares Dessouki, who moves into the main
draw as the expense of Anjema, in the first round.
The full, amended main draw for the Delaware Investments US Open is a s follows.
Action from the PSA
World Series event will be live from Drexel University, Philadelphia
from Saturday October 11 - Saturday October 18 and will be shown live
on SquashTV (www.psasquashtv.com)
