Quill Shots Close Gap In Squash Fiction Match Behind Tracy Gates Effort from DailySquashReport.com
November 19, 2013
- Tracy J. Gates and The Quill Shots typed out an apparent 2-1 victory
Friday over The T Party in Black Knight match fiction play, but had to
survive a tense appeal process to make it official and put The Quills
on the board.
The T Party now leads The Quill Shots two chapters to one, in set-11 scoring.
Matt Munich (Quills) and Tom Oberdorfer (T) are currently going head-to-head in Chapter 5 action.
New York City's Gates squared off in Chapter 4 with newcomer squash author David Smith of
Long Island, in perhaps the match's tightest war of words to date.
The courtside match judges saw it 2-1, Gates.
The T Party quickly
gathered the four votes necessary to issue a challenge, and appeal
judges Barb Cooper and Sam Cornett swung into action in Toronto.
The appeal judges reached a verdict Tuesday, unanimously sustaining the call on the court of Point, Quill Shots.
The T Party now has two challenges remaining, a reality that could come back to bite them later on.
The Quills have their full arsenal of three challenges remaining.
Loosening up off-court for blockbuster Chapter Sixes are Marcie Chan for The Quill Shots and The Squashist for The T Party.
