PSA Pledging Support to SquashCares Initiative by Sean Reuthe
November 5, 2015
- The Professional Squash Association (PSA) are delighted to announce
that they have agreed to support United States-based organisation
SquashCares which will see the newly created ReBound project align with
the organisation in a mutually beneficial way that will result in balls
being recycled and reused in order to benefit children with ADHD and
autism.
SquashCares creates and distributes ‘ball blankets’ to provide sensory
stimulation to children affected by ADHD and autism in a bid to provide
mental health support for the community.
This latest initiative comes off the back of the successful inaugural
ReBound collection drive at last month’s Delaware Investments US Open
and will see the PSA donate the used, white squash balls leftover from
PSA World Tour events featuring a glass court.
“We’re very happy to support programmes such as SquashCares,” said PSA CSR and Welfare Development Officer Adriana Olaya.
“We’re working collaboratively towards the same higher cause because we
are all one big squash community and we share their concerns for the
environment and want to give back to the community. At the PSA, we want
to spread the word on such fantastic initiatives and efforts that
charities such as this represent.”
