November 9. 2012 - A heated two rounds of pro doubles qualifying is on tap Friday at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan, with two coveted main draw slots at stake in the $20,000 2012 Big Apple Open.
Chris Walker of England and Mark Price of Australia are the top-seeded team, followed by Raj Nanda/Bernardo Samper, Dan Roberts/Graham Bassett and John White/John Russell.
First round qualifying contests begin at 11am with final rounds scheduled for 6:30pm.
The main draw begins Saturday, as World #1s Damien Mudge and Ben Gould sit atop an eight-team field.
