Razik and Delierre Advance In PSA Washington DC Challenger

10 January 2013 - Egypt's Mohamed Abouelghar and Pakistani Yasir Ali Butt recorded upsets over Mexico's Salazar twins to secure unexpected places in the quarter-finals of the Squash Revolution National Capital Open Presented by Oliver, the PSA World Tour Challenger 15 squash event in Washington DC, USA.
Teenager Abouelghar, the world No77 from Cairo, recovered from a game down to topple Arturo Salazar, ranked three places higher, 9-11, 11-2, 11-8, 11-4.
It was in the top half of the draw that Cesar Salazar tumbled out - the world No53 beaten 11-8, 11-8, 11-4 by Butt, the world No75 from Lahore.
Butt goes on to face Shahier Razik, the top seed from Canada. Leading North American interest in the championship, Razik defeated Joe Chapman, of the British Virgin Islands, 11-8, 11-7, 11-6.
Abouelghar faces Adrian Waller in the next round after the fourth seed from England beat Pakistan's Farhan Zaman 14-12, 11-2, 11-5.
Victory by 19-year-old Abouelghar over Waller, ranked 39 in the world, would ensure an Egyptian finalist.
