PST's McManus: El Hindi In TOC A Good Day For Squash
Posted January 15, 2013
PST Commissioner Joe McManus issued the following today in reference to reigning PST Champion Wael El Hindi re-joining the PSA:
“This is a good day for squash and for Wael
El Hindi,” said PST Commissioner Joe McManus. “Wael is one of the
world’s elite players, and he should be able to compete in any event he
chooses. Since he is now a teaching pro based in New York City, it
would have been a shame if he couldn’t compete in New York’s largest
squash tournament.” “I am also pleased to see that he has been
able to maintain a ranking on the PSA tour while playing PST,” McManus
continued. “Unless this was a special provision just for Wael, I hope
PSA will now allow all players to keep a PSA ranking while playing PST
tournaments. We will, of course, welcome his registration at any future
PST event.”
