Open Squash celebrated the grand opening of its second location
Tuesday, an 8-court facility on the 14th floor at 100 Pearl Street.
Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine and Alliance for Downtown New
York President Jessica Lappin spoke and cut a ribbon, and Ali Farag,
Victor Crouin, Gina Kennedy and Melissa Alves played exhibitions.
Open Squash founder and board chair David Ellen said: "Our goal has
always been to make squash a community affair—a game where everyone,
regardless of their background or income, can participate. This new
facility in FiDi is not just a squash center; it's a testament to our
commitment to the sport and the community we serve."
Memberships begin at $149/month. There are income-based discounts.
Open Squash's 5-court West 39th Street location opened in 2020 and reportedly has 500 members.
