Ted Gross: When is Enough Enough?
1/6/25
Is any country going to rise to the occasion and deny Egyptian gold medals in the LA Olympics?
How about at least let the losing kid get off the court before starting the flag parade.
If I was one of the (11) US coaches, I would have blocked the door until my player (who played his heart out) could exit the court with dignity.
How come no one did that?
Is it a given that one country wins everything? Is that the accepted mentality?
Hopefully the non-Egyptian powers-that-be aren’t more interested in their salaries and bonuses than in winning gold medals.
Egyptian players have had an incredible run, and have won enough. Starting right now -- time to dig deep and turn it around.
And when we (non-Egyptians) start winning, show a little class and act like you’ve been there before.
