The Jericho Tennis Club is a member’s only private sports club located in the Point Grey neighbourhood of Vancouver, BC. Our facility boasts 12 premier quality tennis courts, four international specification squash courts, a fully equipped fitness centre and a full-service food and beverage department. With a prime beach front location on English Bay, Jericho is one of the premier clubs in the Lower Mainland.
Currently, the Jericho squash department is seeking a Head Squash Professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive squash program with participants ranging from beginners, age 5, to competitive National calibre athletes in all age categories. The squash programs are accessible to many types of players to ensure that the Jericho squash community continues to grow.
Education, Skills, Training Required:
• Minimum Level III NCCP Coaching Certification; or international equivalent
• Experience as a club professional; private, public, college/university
• Playing skill level; minimum A/Open player
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
• Squash facility knowledge (i.e. flooring, walls, lighting etc.)
• Extensive experience planning, organizing and executing tournaments of all sizes
• Current Basic Rescuer CPR and First-Aid Certification
• Comprehensive computer and administrative skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
This is a full-time, year-round, salary plus commission position that includes a comprehensive benefit package after three months of employment. The Jericho Tennis Club offers an excellent work environment, as well as excellent opportunities for training and development.
