Squash World Mourns The Death of Harry Faulkner

February 9, 2013 - The world of squash is in mourning today with the news that talented youngster Harry Faulkner collapsed on court and died soon afterwards following a heart attack.
The England junior international suffered a cardiac arrest doing what he loved best, playing squash. He was 18 years old on December 30.
The tragic incident occurred during a Hertfordshire League match at St Albans.
His main sponsor, Simon Scott, who supplied him with Harrow equipment, said: “Adam Fuller, Harry’s coach, called me to say Harry had felt ill on court during a game and then collapsed outside the court. The club first-aiders and then medics took two hours trying to revive him, but to no avail.”
Simon is keen to assist any foundation of squash activity set up in Harry’s memory. He added: “I have said to Adam that I want to do something for the family in Harry’s memory in the form of some custom rackets and/or bags or product for any form of foundation that they may set up or support in his memory.”
Harry trained at Berkhamsted Tennis and Squash Club, Hertfordshire, under the guidance of Adam Fuller.
He also played for Luton and Dunstable with Marc Woolhead and Steve Davies in the National Club Championships.
World champions Ramy Ashour and Nick Matthew both published messages on Twitter expressing their sadness at the news.
