- When does having "respect for your elders" turn to...age
discrimination in squash!? When, as a (squash) teaching professional,
do you become too old to coach!? Hopefully never! However and
unfortunately...in the eyes of some (young junior) squash-players, it
may not be soon enough!
It's the age-old story of some children not being brought up to respect
their elders, especially when it comes to showing that (deserved)
respect and responding positively to the coaching of the very
experienced older squash coach. Yes...younger coaches bring new ideas
to the table, but so do veteran coaches. How anyone could claim
otherwise is baffling!
Let's face it, those who have made coaching (squash) their passion in
life, bringing years of experience to the game, a wealth of knowledge,
expertise and methods that really do work, often do not receive the
recognition or provided "just" rewards they deserve.

It should be realized, especially by the young junior
squash-player, that by creating and/or maintaining a bias against such
experience, they, (in the long run of their squash careers), are the
losers!
Really juniors...respect your (squash coaching) elders!
