College Squash Needs to Put an Age Limit on Varsity Players

It doesn't sit right that this weekend's Trinity men's starting lineup will include a 22-year-old freshman who, according to squashinfo.com, turned pro in 2010 and played 37 PSA events and 67 PSA matches.

This player will be 25 when he is a senior.

You can't blame the player, who is simply participating according to existing guidelines.

But this also raises the question of how many of Trinity's lauded 5-4 victories over the years may have involved a player in his mid-20's against an 18 or 19-year-old.

Regardless, college squash needs to stop the nonsense and take a stand, and put a realistic age-limit on varsity players.
