Gawad Wins Squash Player’s Player of the Month Award from Tour Media

- World champion Karim Abdel Gawad is Squash Player’s Male Player of
the Month for February, following his third successive major title at
the $150,000 Tournament of Champions in the USA in January.
The 25-year-old world no.2 followed up his World Championship and Qatar
Classic successes with his first trophy at the iconic Grand Central
Terminal venue in New York.
“To win three big titles like the World Championship, Qatar Classic and
Tournament of Champions is a great feeling,” said the Egyptian.
“I have to thank my coaches for the support and hard work they’ve put in for the past few years.
“I’m really enjoying my squash at the moment, so hopefully I can keep that going in the next tournament.”
