DSR has learned that Hope Nichols Prockop and Amanda Sobhy will be
singing the national anthem prior to the start of the NHL hockey game
between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes at the TD Garden
scheduled for 7 PM on March 10th.
Sobhy, the
reigning US National and Intercollegiate Individuals champion and
current World No. 7, and Prockop, the 2015 British Open and US National
45+ Champion, will take center ice and deliver their 90-second duet.
This pair, Harvard squash captains of Howe Cup championship teams in
1990 and 2015 respectively, have previously sung the anthem during
squash tournaments at venues such as Boston's Symphony Hall and the
Tournament of Champions in New York.
This
incredible opportunity came about because both players benefit from the
good work of sports massage therapist Colleen Carney, owner of Back in
Motion, who treats amateur and professional athletes and members of the
Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox. Tickets to the game can be purchased
at www.bruins.nhl.com.
