Jeff Young/Ross Revenaugh, Berkeley Revenaugh/Sarah West, Kevin Orphan Win California State Doubles Titles by John Lau
March 18, 2013
- It was a memorable California State Doubles Squash Championships
hosted by the University Club. Over 50 participants entered in 7
competitive classes.
Special thanks to Bill O’Leary, Eric Toan, Tad Moore, and David
O’Louglin, whose patronage enabled the tournament to present itself
with the highest level of hospitality.
Volunteers Jim Gibbons, Bill Smith, Terry Eagle, Busani Xaba, Peter
Susskind, Jack Bickel, and Eric Toan, marshaled by the University
Club’s Athletic Committee Chairman, Mike Townsend, allowed the
tournament to proceed without a hitch. It was very much
appreciated by everyone.
The players from San Francisco are grateful for the teams who made the
trip from Los Angeles to play in the Cal States. It raised the
tournament to a very high quality level which produced superb matches
for all to enjoy and made it a true California State Championships.
San Franciscans will reciprocate, and will be in Los Angeles for the 2014 California State tourney in force.
