The Agnes Irwin School, a private
all-girls’ school in Rosemont, PA, is seeking an experienced squash pro
for the position of Director of Squash, beginning in Fall 2013, to
manage our new Squash Center (housing four squash courts.) The
Squash Center is part of our 55,000 sq. ft. Athletic Center opening in
the Fall of 2013.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Coaching Upper School Varsity and Middle School Varsity teams Overseeing the Junior Varsity program Coaching Middle School “Instructional Squash” programs in the fall and spring Running one developmental squash clinic for each division per season Developing and implementing summer and holiday camps/clinics Offering private lessons and other training opportunities
Successful candidates will possess: · Minimum two (2) years experience coaching/instructing squash · Experience building a
squash program by establishing consistent philosophies and teaching
methods for all teams and coaches/faculty in the program · Mastery of tactical
concepts appropriate for competitive high school play, as well as
player’s technical skill development · Ability to communicate the program’s expectations and goals to players, parents and the wider community · Experience organizing and directing out-of-season training programs, camps and clinics · Proven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship and respect · Proven ability to cultivate an atmosphere that makes the program attractive to prospective student-athletes · Knowledge of appropriate safety measures to ensure the well being of players · CPR/1st Aid Certification required
