Nabil v MacAulay in PST Mamaroneck Open Finals from Tour Media March 29, 2014
- One week after facing off in the Chestnut Hill Open finals, Mustafa
Nabil and Jamie MacAulay will again face one another in the finals of
the Mamaroneck Open. This week's tournament is being hosted by the Westchester Squash Club. MacAulay (Scotland)
looked strong in his semi-final match against Rob Wilkins (Wales). Game
scores were 11-3, 11-5, 11-9 in the 32 minute match. Nabil looked very
strong in facing top seed Ricky Weisskopf. Nabil won in three. Game
scores were 11-7, 11-5, 11-6 in the 41 minute match. "Nabil looked sharp
today," noted PST's Joe McManus. "Now in his second tournament, I think
he's more comfortable with PST's rules and style of play. "Tomorrow's
final should be another great one." Last week MacAulay and
Nabil fought fiercely for five game. The opening games were 12-10 and
10-12 respectively, and MacAulay just edged Nabil 11-9 in the final
stanza. They will face off at 12 noon at the Westchester Squash Club in Mamaroneck, NY.
