The
Black Knight Squash Fiction League Match #2
v The Handouts versus The Tin Ringers
PLAYERS
The Tin Ringers
Roland Jacopetti
Roland, in collaboration with filmmaker Ben Van Meter, published the
book, "Rescued Buildings" from Capra Press. He's also written articles
for Sonoma Business and the S.F. Chronicle. He's been working in radio
for the last 40+ years, as a producer, talk show host, interviewer and
music programmer and the last eighteen of those years at KRCB-FM in
Sonoma County. He has been known to watch squash on YouTube.
David Smith Long
Island-exiled Medical Device executive of questionable humor and
talent, whose unrestrained passion for Chardonnay and San Francisco is
only surpassed by his love of the Michigan State Spartans.
Al Tommervik
Al Tommervik is a journalist, tech writer, and pseudo-techie.
As a journalist, he cofounded Softalk Publishing, which published two
of the top 10 computer magazines in the early '80s. One of those titles
was included on the Folio 400 list of the largest magazines in the
country. As a result of that effort, the Smithsonian anointed him as a
pioneer of the microcomputer industry, even though the wheels came off
his virtual conestoga wagon.
He spent years on the editorial desk of Daily Variety, the
entertainment bible of showbusiness. There, because he knew where the
computer on button was, he was drafted into the role of information
technology manager, overseeing the installation of the digital
editorial system and implementing the move of Variety's production
staff from Manhattan to Hollywood.
Much earlier, he had been the sports editor of the first daily newspaper to use the offset method of printing.
Most recently, he has been a tester, documentarian and blogger in
support of Tawala Systems, which has published software to help youth
sports groups register and communicate with their players and coaches.
Currently, he can often be found staring uncomprehending at his
computer, wondering if Facebook is LinkedIn to Twitter so that
Instagram will hang on Vine. After some less than fruitful hours in
that pursuit, his rottweiler usually takes him for a walk.
Tammy Mehmed Tammy is practically a native San
Franciscan having relocated from Michigan in 1981. By day she is
a legal secretary at a large international law firm; by night and
weekend she trains people and their dogs and competes in canine agility
and rally obedience. She first learned that squash existed in the
late 70s from her high school boyfriend and may have even watched a few
games.
Georgetta Morque
Georgetta L. Morque is a public relations consultant and freelance
writer and the media relations director for the Pro Squash Tour. She is
the founder of the Rye High School and Middle School squash programs in
New York’s Westchester County, co-founder of the Fairwest Public School
Squash League, and the mother of three athletes, including a son who
plays on the squash team at Franklin & Marshall.

productions in the Los Angeles area, where he received an LA Weekly
Theatre Award nomination for his work on Theatre of NOTE’s production
of DUCHESS OF MALFI. His acting career has ranged from roles in
