April 9, 2014
- The Professional Squash Association (PSA) and the French Squash
Federation (FFS) have signed a new partnership agreement which will see
both organisations working more closely together to aid the promotion
of squash within France. The PSA and FFS have
put a new structure in place to help work towards the goals of
increasing the level and volume of PSA World Tour events currently
staged in the country which has been represented at the very top of the
World Rankings by both Thierry Lincou and Gregory Gaultier. "We're pleased to
strengthen our relationship with the FFS and look forward to working
with them in the future to help build on the successes of French squash
within recent years and continue to expand the sport's growing
popularity in the country," said PSA CEO Alex Gough. FFS president Jacques
Fontaine said: "The historic agreement that has just been signed by FFS
and PSA shows their joint intention to speed up the development of
squash in France. "It is an essential
element in the implementation of the pluri-annual development programme
presented during the latest General Assembly of the French Federation."
