John White, Bradley Ball Headline Tonight's PST Albany Open
from Tour Media

- There's respect, for sure, between the two. But the tension engulfs every one in the room when John White and Bradley Ball walk on court for a match.

They are giant men on a squash court. Both hover around 6'3" and both punish the ball like few on the planet ever have.

Ball has a unique style on court. It's raw power, and it's intimidating. He looks for, and is capable of hitting, a winning shot from any angle on court. His uniquely aggressive style has been branded "Brad Attack." And you don't want to blink when he's on court for fear of missing a thunderous strike for a winner.

White still holds the world record for the fastest squash shot ever hit during match play. His backhand was recorded at 172mph in a match. His forehand was only slightly off pace at 171mph. Since a squash court is only 32 feet front to back, there is precious little time to pick up his shot. White's equally unique style helped him reach a World #1 ranking.

White and Ball have only faced each other twice in PST action. Last spring they met in the finals of the 2011 Providence Open. Ball won a close five game match.

Last August they faced one another again in the finals of Southampton, New York's Mohawk Hampton Open. That match went to White 3-0.

If they meet in Albany, it will again be in the finals. Both would like another championship. More importantly, both want critical points that will be awarded the winner for seeding in advance of the Championships in Detroit.
