- Top seed Liu Tsz-Ling denied the hosts a home winner of the Women's
Malaysian Tour Squash Circuit No.4 when she beat Penang teenager
Vanessa Raj in the final of the Women's Squash Association World Tour 5
event at the Perlis Sports Complex in Kangar, the state capital of
Perlis.
Liu, the 22-year-old

Tour - after surviving a five-game semi-final battle with Lotte
Eriksen, the No4 seed from Norway.

her breakthrough in the quarter-finals where she upset third-seeded
compatriot Rachel Arnold. The 18-year-old Asian Youth Games champion
then set up her maiden appearance in a WSA Tour final after overcoming
Hong Kong's No2 seed Tong Tsz-Wing in another marathon which went the
full distance.
