Yasmine Khan-Picinich, (left) 12-year old daughter of Shabana Khan of
Seattle, WA, dominated in the finals of the girls under 13 division at
this year's 2019 U.S. Squash Junior Silver Squash Championships held at
Chelsea Piers in Stamford, CT. She won the finals in three-straight
games over 12 year-old Sophie Lee, (right) daughter of Dr. Ed and Jenny
Lee of La Canada, CA. Jasmine is coached by her mother and uncle Azam
Khan, both teaching professionals at the Pro Sports Club in Bellevue,
WA. Jasmine has been playing junior squash-tournaments for six
years...Sophie for three-and-a half years! As a member of the legendary
Khan dynasty, (Hashim and Jahangir...ten-time British Open champion)
Shabana is a ten-time U.S. Squash women's national team-member,
four-time junior national champion, two-time Pan America Game national
team-member and was the U.S. national senior squash champion in 2001.
Azam is the head squash-professional at the Pro Sports Club and was one
of four players representing the United States for seven years...from
1985 to 1991!
