US Junior Ranking Rules Changes Announced from US Squash
May 17, 2012-
U.S. Squash announced several changes to the Junior Ranking System,
effective June 1st, 2012. These adjustments are based on analysis of
data from recent seasons, feedback from the junior community, and input
from the Teaching Professional Advisory Council (TPAC).
Some of the primary changes include:
• Tournament Points
now will affect a player’s ranking average for 11 months; this is one
month longer than the original 10-month rolling ranking period. • The rankings
calculation will take place weekly on Tuesday nights at 11:59 EST, and
will include the immediately previous weekend’s results. • Small adjustments have been made to the points tables, including the points awarded for U.S. Championship events.
