David Palmer Over Peter Nicol In Belgium Legends Final from DailySquashReport.com

- Orlando, Florida's David Palmer dropped the first game to former
world #1 Peter Nicol but steadied his game and pounded out a convincing
four-set victory to win the Namur Legends of Squash event yesterday in
southern Belgium.
In the semis Palmer had beaten Simon Parke in three while Nicol needed four to put away Martin Heath.
Palmer and Nicol met 22 times previously in their pro careers, with Nicol holding a 14-8 edge.
Palmer, a two-time
world champion, was still ranked in the top ten by the PSA when he
retired in November after reaching the quarters of the World Open.
He is 35 years old and currently competes on the US based PST.
Nicol is 39.
37-year-old Jonathon Power of Toronto was a late event scratch due to injury.
