Chelsea Piers Connecticut Names Greta Wagner Executive Director

(Stamford, CT - May 2, 2014) – Chelsea Piers Connecticut is pleased to name Greta Wagner as the new Executive Director/EVP of Chelsea Piers Connecticut. Wagner will replace Mollie Marcoux, who is leaving the company in August to begin her new role as Director of Athletics at Princeton University.  

Wagner, who has worked for Chelsea Piers New York for the past 18 years, currently serves as a Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Sports Center, a 150,000-square-foot health club with more than 5,000 members.  Over the past year, Wagner has also spent a considerable amount of time at Chelsea Piers Connecticut as a core team member helping lead the development of the new Chelsea Piers Athletic Club (CP-AC), a 65,000-square-foot health and fitness facility.

Since joining the company as Assistant General Manager of the Sports Center in early 1996, Wagner has been has been a leader and major contributor to the culture and success of Chelsea Piers New York. In addition to her current roles as a Senior VP and General Manager of the Sports Center, Wagner previously served as the General Manager of the Golf Club at Chelsea Piers, a state-of-the-art golf range and teaching academy for children and adults. Along with her venue responsibilities, Wagner also serves in the company’s Human Resources Department, overseeing all management development for the company, as well as customer service training for Chelsea Piers’ 1,200+ employees.

Wagner will continue to serve as General Manger of the Sports Center through June 15th, while spending time at CPCT during the transition. She will begin her new full-time position at Chelsea Piers Connecticut on July 7, 2014.
