- Former World #1 David Palmer beat Stefano Galifi in four and
Baltimore pro Wade Johnstone squeezed past Mohamed El Sherbini 11-9 in

Championship final at the historic Detroit Athletic Club.
May 3, 2015 - Top seeds in the PST World Championship took care of business in opening round action at the Detroit Athletic Club.
"The DAC is a special place," said PST Commissioner Joe McManus. "There
was a nice energy in the room as all of the boys were here."
On Saturday PST's final four will renew recent rivalries.
David Palmer and Stefano Galifi have faced each other once in PST
action. Palmed edged Galifi 11-9 in game five at this season's
Cleveland Classic. They will face off in one of Saturday's semi-finals.
The other semi-final match features Mohamed El Sherbini and Wade
Johnstone. The two last met just two weeks ago in the finals of the PST
Bottini Fuel World Open. Sherbini beat Johnstone 12-10 in game five to
win the tournament title.
"I love rivalries," said McManus. "It doesn't matter if it is two
amateur players who play each week for pride or Saturday's matches with
top level pros. And these two match-ups feature four closely matched
rivals, each of whom expects to walk away with a win.
"I can promise exciting squash Saturday afternoon."
