U.S. Squash positive proposals loom for the future! Some of those proposals include the following in no special order...
1) Increase the number of points offered at Regional Championships.
2) Move the entry deadline for Gold, JCT and National Championships from 2.5 to 3.5 weeks.
3) Close the on-line sign-up for Silver and Bronze events to 1.5 weeks before the start of the tournament.
4) Prohibit players from competing in older age-divisions in bronze events.
5) Close entry for ALL tournaments 1.5 weeks before the start of the tournament.
6) To allow families to plan ahead, division start-times will be published 1.5 weeks before tournaments start.
7) Players will NOT be allowed to play in two division in ANY U.S. Squash accredited junior tournaments.
8) Cut-lists published 3.5 weeks before tournament start for JCT and Gold events, 2.5 weeks for silver and bronze events.
9) Increase West Coast gold tournaments from three to five events.
10) Host as many as one (two-day) silver events per month, per city.
These are just some of the recent U.S. Squash junior tournament
proposals being made for the upcoming September 2019 through May 2020
season. To be sure...they are positive proposals!
