Los Angeles Athletic Club (www.laac.com) is seeking a full-time Head Squash Professional/ Assistant to Athletic Director.
The Club’s squash program has a strong reputation for high quality coaching, junior development, organizing squash leagues and has a history of hosting professional (PSA and WSA) tournaments. The incoming squash pro will be expected to continue these programs, grow membership, increase participation and further develop the sport in the greater Los Angeles area.
Candidate must demonstrate superior playing and coaching ability and be able to train a broad range of adults, as well as beginning to elite juniors. The position requires participation in all aspects of the squash programming, partner matching including teaching private and group lessons, administration of in-house leagues and greater LA leagues, running professional tournaments and all other traditional activities of a private club squash program. Other aspects of the position include administrative duties, athletic department management responsibilities and general operations and upkeep.
Candidate must have excellent communication, customer service, computer skills, be a team player, problem solver and organized.
Compensation includes competitive salary, private lesson and clinic fees and commission on tournament fundraising.
