Celine
Vendler started her U.S. Squash junior tournament-playing career on
October 8th, 2011 representing the Arroyo Seco Racquet Club in South
Pasadena, CA. In her short three-plus year squash career, after winning
29 junior squash-tournament matches, she developed a back problem that
couldn't be solved, playing her final junior squash-tournament match on
March 8th, 2015. However...as a top student at the Polytech private
high-school in Pasadena, CA, she pursued her academic career, applying
to her grandmother's (Helen) and father's (David) Alma mater Harvard
University. Following her acceptance and attending Harvard for four
years, the good news is that Celine has just graduated Summa Cum Laude,
Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard with a 4.0+ GPA average and received the
prestigious Sophia Freund prize, awarded annually to the
highest-ranking Harvard undergraduates.
It's been quite a nine-year squash and academic ride for Celine! We
applaud and congratulate this former U.S. Squash junior
squash-tournament player for her outstanding academic achievements!
And...she just may be headed up for a position as a product manager in
the Silicon Valley Bay area tech industry. Stay tuned!
