Nicol David & James Willstrop Headline Italian League Competition

June 5, 2012 - On the first weekend in June the final round of the Italian National League was held at Figs National Technical Centre in Riccione, with some of the top players in the world such as Nicol David, James Willstrop, Laura Massaro, Adrian Grant, Madeline Perry, Yann Perrin, Alan Clyne, Dylan Bennett, Lauren Selby, and the Italian National team players Amr Swelim, Josè Facchini.
Centro Squash Florence, who lined up world #1 James Willstrop, claimed its first-ever Italian title, outranking Crazy Team Turin, headed by WSA #1 Nicol David, in a dramatic last match, one of the best of the season by 152/124.
The many spectators were delighted by the high level squash played in this tie, and in the many other matches of this long season, which started in February.
