Chelsea Piers CT Squash Complex Near Completion, Includes Glass Sidewall Doubles Court from DailySquashReport.com

The 400,000 square foot Chelsea Piers, Connecticut sports center is
slated to open on schedule in early July following a furious year of
construction at the Stamford site.
Of
interest to North American doubles players is a unique new court
featuring a colored, all-glass left sidewall, installed by the great
Gordie Anderson of Anderson Courts and Sport Surfaces.
Eleven
singles courts are also in the final stages of completion, along with a
multitude of other facilitites that include ice hockey rinks, soccer
and lacrosse fields, a gymnastics center, an indoor tennis complex and
a huge aquatic center.
Former world number-one Natalie Grainger is the Chelsea Piers, CT director of squash.
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Mayor Michael A. Pavia are scheduled to chair a June 28th ribbon-cutting celebration.
