Director of Squash: Cleveland Racquet Club
The Cleveland Racquet Club, located in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, is one of the premier racquet sports facilities in the Mid-West. CRC provides a full range of year-round services for its 500 member families with 4 international singles squash courts, 2 hardball doubles squash courts, 10 indoor and 14 outdoor tennis courts, 4 platform tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fitness and massage areas and a full service restaurant and bar.
The Club’s squash program has a strong reputation for high quality coaching, junior development and is host to an annual WSA event. The incoming squash pro will be expected to continue these programs, introduce new programs, grow membership and participation, and further develop the sport at the club.
The successful candidate must demonstrate superior coaching ability and be able to train a broad range of players including beginners, elite juniors and adults. The position requires participation in all aspects of the squash program, including teaching private and group lessons, running professional tournaments, and all other traditional activities of a private club squash program.
Other aspects of the position include budget development and fiscal responsibilities, along with general operational duties. College degree preferred. Excellent communication and computer skills, 2-4 years management experience a plus. This position requires leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills and will only suit a professional, dynamic, self motivated individual.
Compensation includes competitive salary and potential earning from revenue streams that include, but are not limited to: coaching, clinics, camps, tournaments and pro shop sales. Medical coverage and a 401K retirement fund are additional benefits included with the position. The candidate must be able to work legally in the USA.
