Dateline July 12th
--- The 2011-12 WDSA women’s pro doubles tour will have a rousing
finale during these next three days as eight teams composed of the 16
highest ranked available players will compete in the first annual
Wilson Cup, a $20,000 event sponsored by Morgan Stanley Private Wealth
Management, Talmadge LLC and Saratoga Partners and held at the
Southampton Youth Services’ Elmaleh/Stanton Center.
Steph Hewitt and Natarsha McElhinny, who won the 2010

third/fourth seeds along with Emily Lungstrum and Marci Sier. The
quarterfinals are this afternoon and evening, followed by the semis
Friday night and the final at 5:00 PM on Saturday. There will also be a
pro-am draw and a women’s Under-30 event, and some of the proceeds from
the tournament will go to a non-profit program set up by Southampton
Youth Services to give local children an opportunity to receive playing
time and instruction at the host club.
