Regarding the recent NEWSMAX article: "Major Colleges: Essay Test
Scores Being Dropped," John Dewis has written a book titled "Hack The
College Essay."
John...a Harvard University graduate and squash-player, is the Director
of Development for Deep Springs College. Deep Springs is the smallest,
most competitive and most innovative college in the country. Every year
the current student body of 26 choose the incoming class of 13 to take
part in a robust experiment in student self-governance- hiring faculty
and running a cattle ranch- and making a life-long commitment of
service to humanity. The college sits in an isolated desert valley,
where intellectual pursuits find traction in the practical affairs of a
small community and ranch. Founded in 1917, Deep Springs celebrated its
Centennial in July of 2017. So...we recommend John's book as "A Must
