Reader: Sir Richard Branson Saves The Olympics from DailySquashReport.com
July 22, 2012
- A reader has expressed appreciation for Sir Richard Branson's Virgin
Atlantic's offer to ensure that women's Olympic beach volleyball
players can compete in standard bikini attire in London.
Earlier, reports surfaced that the London weather might force the players to wear leggings and sleeves instead of bikinis.
To this report, ThatsSports.com's Len Berman commented: "I think we're
about to find out who the real fans of beach volleyball are."
However, Reuters subsequently reported that Sir Richard Branson's
Virgin Atlantic has offered to supply courtside patio heaters so that
players can wear bikinis if it gets too chilly.
To which a DSR reader responded, "Branson is my nominee for a Nobel Prize."
