Position Title: Assistant Coach, Men's & Women's Squash

The mission of Princeton University Department of Athletics is to
strive for excellence in academics and athletics, while embracing

keeping with this mission, the role of the Assistant Coach of Squash is
to support a quality varsity program which will challenge and develop
the physical, mental and personal abilities of student-athletes of two
nationally ranked programs.
Reporting to the Head Coach for Men's Squash and Women's Squash, the
Assistant Coach will be responsible for the organization and
administration of two NCAA Division I programs that compete in the IVY
LEAGUE Conference.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
-Recruiting: Assist in all aspects of planning and directing the
recruitment of top-ranked squash student-athletes of high moral
character who demonstrate the desire to excel in academics and
athletics. Including, but not limited to, attending primary evaluation
sites to identify talent, travel to contests/tournaments to evaluate
prospects, and making home visits to talk to top prospects and parents.
All while maintaining compliance with NCAA and IVY LEAGUE legislation.
Pass the NCAA Certification Exam each year before the academic year
begins.
-Team preparation: Assist in the preparation necessary to compete at the Division I level.
- Training: Assist the head coach with the planning and execution of all training sessions.
- Administrative: Incumbent will be responsible for a wide variety of
administrative tasks including but not limited to the production and
maintenance of annual reports, CARA Forms, recruiting logs, calendars,
rosters, financial reports, summer camps administration and other
various reports for NCAA and IVY-League compliance related issues.
- Community Service: The incumbent is expected to participate in
community relations' activities both as an individual and with the
athletes as a team effort to promote the sports of men's and women's
squash.
- Video: Manage the videotaping all home and away matches. Uploading
all home matches to the conference video server and assist in breakdown
of all video.
- Team Synergy: Incumbent must help to foster cross-team connection and
family feel of both men's and women's squash teams building on more
than 130 years of squash history.
- Facility administration and equipment management: Maintain all squash equipment and aid in string racquets and repair.
The final candidate will be required to complete a background check successfully.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Two to three years of prior coaching experience preferred. Ability to
play squash on a daily basis against the starting line-up.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and Email.
-Excellent organization and time management skills are necessary.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
