PSA Unveils Brand New Look For Professional Squash by Nathan Clarke

- The Professional Squash Association (PSA), the organisation
responsible for the administration of both the men’s and women’s
professional world tours, has today launched its new brand - including
a new logo, colour scheme and website.
The PSA joined forces with the Women's Squash Association (WSA) earlier
this year in an historic merger that sees squash governed by one
association for the first time ever and today’s unveiling reflects the
joining of sexes, with a new multicoloured logo creating the foundation
for a new look website and tour identity.
Alongside the logo the PSA have re-launched their website
(www.psaworldtour.com) to serve as the home of professional squash on
the internet. The fully mobile-responsive site has been optimised for
viewing on all devices and will keep squash fans up to date with all
the latest information from across both the men’s and women’s world
tours.
“We are excited to share our new brand with our customers and partners today,” said PSA Chief Commercial Officer Tommy Berden.
“We believe the new look and feel of our logo better represents the
entirety of the new-look PSA whilst the newly launched website will
prove to be the ideal destination for fans of both the men’s and
women’s tours with all the latest news, views and reviews from across
the sport.
“Having recorded growth of 20% so far in 2015 professional squash is
already blossoming in the wake of joint-governance and we feel that our
new look and feel will be the perfect symbol for us as we embark upon
an exciting new era.”
Today’s announcement brings formal closure to the WSA association, with
all references to the women’s professional game now operating
completely under the PSA’s banner while the new look identity also
coincides with changes to the professional game’s tournament tier
structure.
The Challenger and International tiers previously used to differentiate
between levels of financial compensation available at tournaments has
paved way for a simpler and more streamlined structure that will see
all tournaments below the pinnacle World Series referred to by their
prize money levels - i.e PSA M50 will refer to a men’s $50,000 event.
