Denison University
invites applications for the position of Head Squash Coach. Denison is
a private, coeducational liberal arts college of approximately 2150
students. The head coach is responsible for the organization,
leadership, and management of all phases of the squash program
including, but not limited to: the management of conditioning,
practices and home/away competition; recruitment, selection and
retention of student-athletes; administrative duties of public
relations, assisting with the budget, scheduling of competition, and
travel arrangements; and is responsible for the safety and conduct of
the team. Candidates need to demonstrate strong organizational skills
and a commitment to operating the program within University, and
College Squash Association regulations. Additionally, there may be an
opportunity for the coach to teach private lessons and develop a
junior/adult squash program.
A bachelor's degree or
the equivalent and successful squash coaching and competitive playing
experience are required. Evidence of effective college coaching
experience, recruitment and retention of student-athletes is preferred.
The position is
full-time, nine-month appointment from September 2012 through May 2013.
The salary is $20,200. A background check is required.
