Regarding
the U.S. Squash JCT (Junior Championship Tour) events...with four
taking place on the east coast and only one on the west coast, (five
total) perhaps the following structure would be better, more fair and
closer to being nationally balanced. Here's how! Accredit eight (not
only five) JCT events, ONE to each of the EIGHT strongest U.S. Squash
nine regions...one per month, October through May. Allow the top eight
RATED (not ranked) players who enter from each of the eight regions to
play in each of the age-divisions. Have the draws made up of 64
players, (eight times eight)...as the U.S. Junior Squash Open already
has 126 player-draws. Structuring the JCT events in this way could give
all the junior squash-players in America a balanced and a more equal
opportunity to play in and earn ranking points...rather than favoring
the east coast juniors, as it is now! Just saying!
