Liz Irving's Elite Squash Academy "crew" at Squash City

August 1, 2013 - Liz Irving's Elite Squash Academy in Amsterdam provides a unique opportunity for women who aspire reaching a high level in squash. The academy aims to improve all aspects of the game, gives insight to a pure professional style of training for those playing under the guidance of her, Nicol David and the rest of the "crew," pictured above. Located at Squash City in the heart of Amsterdam, the program provides a detailed and structured time-table, including video analysis, injury prevention, mental skills, balance, movement, one-on-one instruction, nutrition, strength, flexibility work...and much more!

Short bio's of this great "crew..."

Chris Walker, former world #4, was a member of the England teams which won the World Team Championships in 1995 and 1997 - and finished runner-up at the British Open in 2001. He won the men's doubles title at the inaugural World Doubles Championships in 1997.

Nicol David is the record seven-time world professional squash champion from Malaysia. She has been the #1 ranked women's professional squash player in the world for the last seven years!

Aisling Blake is from Ireland and reached a professional career high of #22. Aisling trains at Squash City in Amsterdam full-time with Liz Irving, Nicol David and other world-ranked women players.

Liz Irving, former #2 female squash-player in the world, was runner up at the world open in 1993, three-time finalist at the British Open and winner of the world doubles championships in 1997. Since retiring as a player, she has coached world champions like Nicol David, former world #1, Vanessa Atkinson and many other highly-ranked professional players.

Lauren Briggs represents the Racquet Club in London, England and reached a career high world ranking of #18 in December of 2008. She has seven international tour-titles to her name, winning in America, Finland, France, Holland, Malaysia and Switzerland.

Vicki Cardwell is a former world #1 from Australia. She was one of the leading players on the international circuit during her career, winning the World Open, capturing the British Open four consecutive times and winning four World Masters. She has been inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame and awarded the Australian British Empire Medal.
