Black Knight Squash Fiction Award Winner 210 Alumnus Celebrates at Coney Island from DailySquashReport.com
August 2, 2014
- "A Day in the Life" squash author 210 Alumnus celebrated a milestone
birthday yesterday with a hot dog at Coney Island followed by a
Mets-Giants contest at Citi Field.
The Alumnus's story
depicts the discovery and life-changing effect of squash on young
Jefferson Lo-Pinto, who comes upon the sport by accident at the TOC
while changing trains at Grand Central.
"A Day in the Life"
beat out 18 submissions on the scorecards of Black Knight Short Story
Contest judges Alan Thatcher and Ivy Pochoda.
To complete his
weekend celebration, 210 Alumnus hopes to track down fellow squash
fiction author David Smith and have Smith autograph the recent smash
squash novel East Side.
