ASB to Provide Official Court for October PSA Men’s World Championship

August 8, 2013 - ASB SquashCourts have been appointed as the official court supplier for the PSA Men’s World Squash Championship 2013, held in Manchester from 26th October to 3rd November.

The PSA Men’s World Squash Championship 2013 will involve the world’s top 112 players, including players from all 5 continents and presents an extremely exciting opportunity for world squash to position itself as the worlds “number one sport for getting and staying fit”. 2013 also brings an additional opportunity as squash is in the running to become an Olympic sport in 2020.
 
Nick Matthew current World No 3 and 2010 and 2011 World Champion has played on ASB courts before "The court felt great, no bad bounce, no slipping, it will look good on TV too. I can’t wait for the Worlds!" Current World No1 and titleholder Ramy Ashour adds: “The court is perfect. It’s so nice to play on there”.

This will be the second time Manchester has played host to the event; the first being during the World Sport 2008 series of events that were a legacy from the Commonwealth Games in 2002.

The heat stage of the event will be held at the National Squash Centre, Sport City with the final weekend at Manchester Central.
