SquashTV Preparing For New Era In 2015 by Nathan Clarke
September 11, 2014
- SquashTV, the official on-line television channel of the Professional
Squash Association (PSA), is set to take on a brand new look in 2015 as
the number one destination for squash fans undergoes a major makeover.
THE place for squash
fans to watch live and historic action, SquashTV broadcasts over 300
matches from the sport's most iconic events per year and starting
January 2015, all matches will be streamed in HD via a brand new smart
website that will be compatible on all devices.
With other new and
exciting features such as multi-stream viewing, instantly available
replays and live stats in the pipeline, along with a brand new archive
of historic footage showcasing the likes of Jansher Khan, Peter Nicol
and Jonathon Power to be added, SquashTV will reinforce its place as
the number one squash destination in the world.
"Since launching in
2010 SquashTV has been at the forefront of driving the improvement in
squash broadcasting and instigated a host of transformations across the
sport," said PSA Chief Operating Officer Lee Beachill.
"Moving to HD
broadcast via a responsive website is something that we feel is
essential to the on-going success of SquashTV and with a host of other
developments still being discussed we are very excited about the
product that will be available in 2015.
"We are committed to
improving the service we offer wherever possible and feel confident
that we can create what will be an industry leading on-line broadcast
channel."
The on-going
redevelopment will not affect the current SquashTV product, with major
tournaments such as the Delaware Investments US Open and 2014 Qatar PSA
World Squash Championship set to be broadcast on the channel before the
switchover in January. To subscribe and watch action now, go to SquashTV at: www.psasquashtv.com
