"He is obviously a wonderfully talented young man," said PST's Joe McManus. "He is also a great ambassador for the game off the court. We're thrilled to welcome him to PST competition."

Khalifa may have the oportunity to compete against two legends of the game in Maine. David Palmer (Australia), PST's reigning champion, and Thierry Lincou (France) have also registered to compete in Maine. Both Palmer and Lincou were busy this summer representing their countries during the world team championships. France finished 3rd and Australia was 4th.

"For that weekend," McManus continued, "the most interesting story lines in squash will be coming from the courts at Bates College."
