McManus Hints At Another Player Joining PST from Tour Media
September 29, 2012 - PST is expected to announce another signing this week.
"This is a signing that could not have been predicted, even by squash insiders," said PST Commissioner Joe McManus.
"And because this young man, from across the world, at the beginning of
his squash career is choosing PST, it will send a very strong signal
about the future of our tour."
In October 2010, the U.K.-based Professional Squash Association banned its members from competing in PST tournaments.
Since the ban, PST has recruited:
David Palmer (Australia): 2-time PSA World Champion
Wael El Hindi (Egypt): 2010 US Open Champion
Bradley Ball (England): 2011 PST World Champion
John Rooney (Ireland): 2-time Irish Champion
Thierry Lincou (France): 11-time French Champion
Stephane Galifi (Italy): Italian #1
Andres Vargas (Colombia): Colombian National Team
Ricky Weisskopf (El Salvador): 4-time El Salvador Champion
"We have never stopped recruiting," said McManus. "Our tour is getting
deeper in talent. And we will also get a little younger this week."
