PST To Hold October Event In Vietnam
from Tour Media
September 2, 2012 - Pro Squash Tour's Asia-Pacific Circuit will
kick-off October 12 with the Hanoi Squash Classic hosted by the Hanoi
Club.
This will be PST's first tournament held outside the United States. Pro
Squash Tour hosted its first tournament in 2009 and has experienced
rapid growth. During the 2011/12 season, PST hosted more tournaments in
more U.S. cities than any other squash tour.
In January PST Commissioner Joe McManus announced (here) his intent to
expand globally. But international circuits weren't anticipated until
the 2013/2014 season.
"We're ahead of schedule in Asia," said McManus. "Kenneth Tuttle, our
new Director for the Asia-Pacific Region, has hit the ground running.
"Kenneth has several sites that are currently in the process of
confirming dates for new events. As word spreads, we are learning that
their is great interest in the tour."
Registered players for the tournaments will be announced in the coming
weeks.
The Hanoi Club is located on the shore of the West Lake (the largest
lake in Hanoi) with superb panoramic view.
The prestigious Membership Club, Deluxe Hotel & Serviced Residences
provide exceedingly courteous and relaxing atmosphere for locals and
foreigners to socialize whether for business or being a social &
recreational centre as well as the venue for banquets, conventions,
companies’ retreats under one roof.
